At the ECNS 2026 conference in Utrecht, Jonas Hehn presented recent advances in hydridoborate nanocomposites as promising solid electrolytes for next-generation batteries. In the presentation Jonas highlighted how these materials offer high ionic conductivity and improved safety, while their electrochemical stability enables good capacity retention in all-solid-state battery tests. Furthermore, the role of interphase compounds in optimizing ionic percolation pathways was explored. The work contributes to the development of safer, alkali metal anode battery technologies for future energy storage applications.
